My Journey to This...

Skincare has been a love of mine for as long as I can remember. In 2012, that love deepened when I earned my certification in advanced facials and makeup artistry from Glow Academy in Canada. It was there that I began to truly understand how skin works, how ingredients behave, how the barrier responds, and how powerful intentional care can be.

For years, I managed my oily, clog-prone skin with harsh treatments and no real plan. They delivered some results… until they didn’t.

Then perimenopause entered the picture, and everything shifted. Breakouts I’d never experienced before. Congestion. Dehydration. Irritation. My skin felt unsettled, and so did I. The tools that once controlled my skin were suddenly too aggressive, leaving it overwhelmed instead of supported.

That season forced me to pause and listen. I returned to the knowledge I had gained through herbalism and natural formulation, leaning into botanicals, barrier repair, and thoughtful ingredient combinations. Creating Blissfully Balanced Skin wasn’t about launching a brand. It was about restoring my own skin.

Through patience, refinement, and truly listening, my skin began to transform, becoming calmer, clearer, hydrated, resilient again.

I learned that my skin responds to humidity, stress, and hormonal shifts. I now focus on a consistent, supportive foundation, using my core products daily and thoughtfully incorporating targeted or prescription actives, when needed. Because skincare isn’t about perfection. It’s about balance.
